I've previously measured it be about 34w when the box is active and around 30w when it's in (amber) standby. In eco (red) standby if your box supports it, it's about 0.5w. If you want something more accurate, you'd be best to invest in a power monitoring adaptor to plug the box into.

When your Sky Q box is installed, it's set to Eco. This is the recommended setting as the box consumes less energy by going into low power mode between 2.30am and 5:45am. It won't go into this mode until any scheduled recordings are complete.

If your Sky+ box is making more noise than normal, make sure it's not placed: On a carpet or in an enclosed space, like a closed cabinet.
