How do you prove you don't watch live TV?
At any point, TV licencing could send an officer to your property to investigate whether you're using a TV. If this happens, they can't force entry and you don't have to let them in. You also don't have to prove to them that you're not watching live TV. The onus is on them to prove you're breaking the law.
What happens if I don't pay my TV Licence?
The court can only give you a fine. But if you fail to pay the fine for not having a TV licence, the court can take further action. They can send bailiffs or sheriff officers to your home. And they can take money from your wages or benefits if you refuse to pay what you owe.
Can TV Licensing track IP address?
They won't be able to correlate an IP address against anything. All they will spot is that you have declared you don't need a TV licence (with a specific e-mail address) and that e-mail address has been used to sign into iPlayer. As mentioned above, if the two e-mail addresses don't match, there will be no link.
